Oron Catts is an artist, researcher, designer, and curator whose work examines how biotechnology changes cultural understandings of life. He established the Tissue Culture & Art Project with Ionat Zurr in 1996 and co-founded SymbioticA in 2000. He is Academic Lead and Director of the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of Western Australia.
